Costa Almeria is an area of great beauty, with
unspoilt Andalucian countryside, and many hidden beaches and coves
- some of which are only accessible by foot. Well deserving of its
name 'Spain's forgotten coast'. The fantastic desert landscape was
used as the setting for many films including 'Lawrence of Arabia',
'The Good the Bad and the Ugly', as well as many Spaghetti
Westerns. Some old movie sets have in fact been preserved, complete
with double door saloons and trading posts.
The temperature here is mild the whole
year round (with even the winter temperature rarely falling below
17 degrees centigrade), and there is minimal rainfall, and this,
together with the general quietness of this Costa makes it a good
choice for your new home.
