Sofia

Several Neolithic villages have been discovered in Sofia, and more recently evidence of a Chalocolithic settlement has been found.
Like any other capital city, there are plenty of musuems, including the National Archaeological Musuem. There are also many archaeological sites in Sofia. Large parts of the ancient city are underneath the modern buildings.
Sofia has been famous since ancient times for the abundance of cold and thermal mineral water springs that are in and around it. The water is still available now, and springs can be found in the city centre as well as neighbouring Kniazevo, Bankia, Ivaniane, Gorna Bania and Ovcha Kupel.
Vitosha, Sofia
Is a beautiful ski resort on the outskirts of Sofia (roughly 10 km's), and it is very easy to get to from the City itself. No actual development is permitted within the mountains. Vitosha is the highest ski resoort of Bulgaria, and the mountain is great for skiing in the Winter and trekking in the summer. Vitosha also boasts the longest cave in Bulgaria - Duhlata, which is over 17 km's long, is over seven levels and through it run six underground rivers. All of this goes a long way to making Sofia and the surrounding district a good place to start your search for investment property to buy in Bulgaria.
